Location is convenient, just a short drive from the cruise port. The bed was surprisingly comfortable, but arriving to a clean room that felt outdated was disappointing. Housekeeping was an issue; not only did we find cockroaches, but they also barged in while I was getting ready. I had a concerning situation with a maid trying to take my husband's phone, which was unsettling. The exterior needed attention, with cigarettes and trash around, and a ridiculous parking fee added to the frustration. Paul, the staff member, was the highlight-his helpfulness was much appreciated amid the chaos.

While the location of Wingate By Wyndham Galveston East Beach is fantastic, offering easy access to the seawall, the cleanliness and maintenance of the rooms left much to be desired. Stains on bedding and an unkempt outdoor environment were quite disappointing, overshadowing the comfortable beds. Great location but needs improvement

the location is great, right across from the beach.

parking costs $45 when it was advertised as free. the room smelled bad and the toilet didn't flush, plus we had to walk up three flights of stairs.

First off, I have to say that I was quite impressed with the ironing facilities in the room. It was a lifesaver for me as I had some wrinkled clothes from traveling. The heating and air conditioning system worked well, keeping the room at a comfortable temperature throughout my stay. I did notice that the air conditioning struggled a bit at times, especially during the warmer parts of the day. One thing I really appreciated was the tea and coffee facilities in the room. It was nice to be able to make a cup of coffee in the morning without having to leave the room. The sitting area in the room was cozy, perfect for relaxing after a long day of exploring the city. I also really liked the terrace outside my room, it offered a nice spot to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning. The in-room sink was convenient for quick wash-ups, but I did notice that the bathtub could have used a bit of a scrub. I made use of the am/fm alarm clock in the room, which helped me wake up on time for my activities each day. The flat-screen TV was a nice touch for some evening entertainment. Housekeeping did a good job of keeping the room tidy, but I did feel like the laundry service could have been more efficient. my stay at the Wingate was pleasant, with some nice amenities and a comfortable room.

The hotel is just across the street from the beach making it super easy to enjoy the sun and surf and in just a few blocks you can find Paradise Pier which is perfect for a fun stroll and not too far away you have attractions like Porretto Beach less than a kilometer away, St Mary's Cathedral Basilica and The Bryan Museum are both just a short distance around 1.3 km away and you have great dining options like Saltgrass Steak House and Benno's On the Beach which are both within a 5-minute walk so truly you have a lot of options to explore and experience the local charm but the hotel could definitely use some improvements in housekeeping as I noticed some cleanliness issues during my stay.

The property presents an alarming first impression. Upon arrival, the exterior felt unsafe. I witnessed unsettling activity in the parking lot, which set an uncomfortable tone. While the location is convenient and close to the beach, that's where the positives end. Rooms need serious attention. Ours had a foul odor, likely from inadequate cleaning. The floors seemed neglected and filthy. Staff appeared shorthanded, neglecting upkeep while trash accumulated. Pricing felt exploitative-charging $40 for early check-in on a busy weekend is simply wrong. Comfort was lacking too; hard beds and limited amenities didn't justify the cost. I'm relieved to have left for a more suitable place. Too many options exist to settle for a property like this.

we stayed at Wingate By Wyndham East Beach and had a great experience. the rooms were clean and comfortable, with the added bonus of a fridge and microwave. the central location provided easy access to the beach and nearby attractions. the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to ensure a smooth transition for us. the hotel's pet-friendly policy with minimal charges was a big plus, and the continental breakfast was a good start to the day.

Our stay at this hotel was fantastic! The staff, especially Dan and the maintenance man on the duck tour, were incredibly helpful and made us feel welcome. The hotel had all the amenities we needed, including free wi-fi, a fitness center, and an outdoor swimming pool. The location was perfect, with easy access to the beach and nearby restaurants. We were able to relax and enjoy our vacation with our two small kids.

That there seemed to be a lack of staff members, as we only saw Katie at the front desk. It would have been nice to have more assistance available.

I chose Wingate By Wyndham Galveston East Beach for its great location near East Beach. The bright stay in Galveston with convenient amenities, and signature Here for You service exceeded my expectations. The delicious dinner and rum cocktails from The Strand Historic District were a delightful bonus.

Limited towels, early pool closure, and occasional TV issues impacted our stay. Guest laundry facilities need improvement.
